Traditional Nepali handmade papermaking highlight these interesting greeting cards. Made from the inner bark of a wild understory shrub known locally as Lotka. It is cut above ground to encourage regrowth, then delivered to the papermakers, a 2 to 3 day walk down from the mountains. Lotka paper is prized for its durability and texture. Peace and love card hand painted (Phasupati landscape block printed) with matching envelope and blank inside. Colours of Peace cards vary. 15.5 cm high, 11 cm wide.

Sana Hastakala, which means "small handicrafts" in Nepali, was formed in 1989 with the help of UNICEF. Sana provides business and community development programs to underprivileged craft producers, mostly women, to promote traditional Nepalese cultural crafts. WFTO member.
