Traditional Nepali handmade papermaking highlight these interesting greeting cards. Made from the inner bark of a wild understory shrub known locally as Lotka. It is cut above ground to encourage regrowth, then delivered to the papermakers, a 2 to 3 day walk down from the mountains. Lotka paper is prized for its durability and texture. Hand painted batik fabric attached, with matching envelope and blank inside. Colours may vary slightly. 16.5 cm high, 12 cm wide.
